History

In order to provide solid service to our customers, and with seven years of experience and know-how, WOWOW Communications was established in 1998 after separating from the Customer Center department of WOWOW.
As a member of WOWOW group, we are developing our business not only in the fields of customer center operation and telemarketing through the use of satellite broadcasting, telephone, fax, internet and mobile communications, but we are also challenging in various other areas as a ADVANCED COMMUNICATION SERVICE PROVIDER.

1990 NovemberWOWOW began test broadcasting, and opened a Viewer Service Center in Higashi-Nihonbashi, Tokyo.
1991 AprilWOWOW began commercial broadcasting.
1991 OctoberOpened a Subscription System Center in Ikebkuro, Tokyo.
1992 FebruaryOpened a Subscription Information Center in Myogadani, Tokyo.
1992 JulyMerged the Subscription System Center and Subscription Information Center into one.
1993 OctoberMerged the Viewer Service Center into the Subscription center and become the Customer Center.
1998 FebruaryEstablished as WOWOW Communications, Inc.
1998 OctoberLocated Yokohama Headquarter to Sakuragicho.
2001 JuneEarned a certification for JISA Privacy Mark.
2003 MarchOpened Kawaguchi Branch in Kawaguchi, Saitama.
2003 AugustOpened Okinawa Branch in Naha, Okinawa.
2004 FebruaryRenewed WOWOW Customer Center.
Relocated Yokohama Headquarter to Minatomirai.(Mitsubishi Juko Bldg 18F.)
2005 FebruaryMerged with e-TELE SERVICES.
RELO Holding.inc became a shareholder.
WOWOW Yokohama Customer Center earned certification for COPC2000®.
2005 MayOpened new center in Minatomirai.(Mitsubishi Juko Bldg 10F.)
2006 MayOpened Kansai Branch in Osaka.
Opened Sapporo Branch in Sapporo.
2006 JulyRelocated head office to Minatomirai, Yokohama.
2007 JulyOpened WOWCOM College.
2009 NovemberRelocated Okinawa Branch to Tsubokawa Square Building.
